A drive along the coast from Florence to Newport, Oregon - 7/3/06
This was just a 25 mile drive.. can you imagine how beautiful the whole coast is.

Prescott Outdoors > This is part of "Old Town" Newport. Fishing cannaries and restaurants down by the bay. You can go there and buy fresh catch every afternoon.

Prescott Outdoors > This is another historic lighthouse. The Yaquina Head Lighthouse. I used to hike out to this every day when I had my place in Newport.
Prescott Outdoors > This is looking back toward Newport from the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. I used to hike out to this every day when I had my place in Newport. My place was just off to the left along the beach. The bridge from the previous pictures is way down on the right at the point. The main town of Newport is all along the beach you see and up on the hills.
Prescott Outdoors > Sea Lions snoozing on the rocks. They are all over the place as well as a lot of whales. I used to sit and have my coffee every morning watching the whales feed along the coast.
